"The abundant life of which we have heard so much recently does not come to those who have all obstacles removed from their paths by others. It develops from within and is rooted in strong mental and moral fiber. To look to government to supply all material safeguards is to sound the doom of the great American tradition. If America is to go forward, we must develop in our colleges ideals of courage, industry, and independence."
William Mather Lewis President - George Washington University - 1923-27 President - Lafayette College - 1927-45 I wonder how many colleges and universities are teaching the ideals of courage, industry and independence, today?

Having an abundant life is something that I am really grateful about. If I am just someone who is slacking off all day, then I would never have this type of life, which is why I am happy that I am not. I used to be a poor guy as well, but I did not let that get the best of me. I wanted to have a nice life, which is why I worked my body to its limits. Today, I enjoy a comfortable life.
