“Be content to act and leave the talking to others.” - Baltasar
Are you a talker or a doer?

“In teamwork, silence isn’t golden, it’s deadly.” - Mark Sanborn
Are you effectively communicating with your team? My father, Jack Tucker, died on March 7, 1986, after a three and a half year battle against end-stage breast cancer. He was 54 years old. After his passing, our family was given the following passage by the group he worked with as the Senior Vice President of Restaurant Development at Wendy's International.
Recognition of True Class Class never runs scared. It is sure-footed and confident in the knowledge that you can meet life head-on and handle whatever comes along. Jacob had it. Esau didn't. Symbolically, we can look to Jacob's wrestling match with the angel. Those who have class have wrestled with their own personal angel and have won a victory that marks them thereafter. Class never makes excuses. It takes its lumps and learns from past mistakes. Class is considerate of others. It knows that good manners are nothing more than a series of petty sacrifices. Class bespeaks an aristocracy that has nothing to do with ancestors or money. The most affluent blue-blood can be totally without class while the descendant of a Welsh miner may ooze class from every pore. Class never tries to build itself up by tearing others down. Class is already up and need not strive to look better by making others look worse. Class can walk with kings and keep its virtue and talk with crowds and keep the common touch. Everyone is comfortable with the person who has class - because he is comfortable with himself. If you have class, you don't need much of anything else. If you don't have it, no matter what else you have - it doesn't make much difference. “Perception is reality. It is not what you say, but rather what is heard that is important.” - Ian Gray
How do you effectively communicate so others understand what you want? “Loyalty will not be gained unless it is first given. It comes when those you lead see and experience that your concern for their interests and welfare goes beyond simply calculating what they can do for you.” - John Wooden
How do you inspire loyalty in those around you? “I believe when you are very dedicated to something and you’re engaged fully, you become a giver.” - Russell Simmons
Does your purposeful engagement allow you to give back? Four Powerful Habits That Will Change Your Life
Number 1: Embrace life, don’t resist it. When things aren’t working, our first action is often resistance. Instead of resisting, take a moment to consider what isn’t working and why. Embracing life is resisting stagnation. Life may wreck your plans when your plans are about to wreck you. Number 2: Affirm yourself, don’t degrade yourself. One of the most common ways to degrade ourselves is to ask the wrong questions. Wrong questions are disempowering. Ask a bad question and you will get a bad answer. Because the conscious mind programs the subconscious, take charge. Good questions lead to productive answers. Number 3: Brainstorm, don’t blame-storm. Blame-storming is using our creative abilities to come up with reasons why something is not our fault. This creates an emotional roadblock to healthy living called resentment. It’s tempting to wallow in resentment because it provides a feeling of control. But that is an illusion. The past is no more. Through brainstorming, you come to the realization that your past deepens you but does not define you, deter you or defeat you. It is part of your maturity but not your identity. Your past has made you stronger for today. Number 4: Do something, not everything. It’s good to be resilient – to a point. Sometimes quitting is the smartest thing you can do. The secret of concentration is elimination. This leads to productive living and has health benefits as well – a needed message for a society of high achievers. The happiest people are busy but in control. They are not rushed. From the article: 4 Powerful Habits That Will Change Your Life by Mick Ukleja – April 18, 2017 – SUCCESS Magazine “Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world.” - Joel A. Baker
Is your vision accompanied by action? "To be honest, to be kind - to earn a little and spend a little less, to make upon the whole a family happier for his presence, to renounce when that shall be necessary and not be embittered, to keep a few friends, but these without capitulation - above all, on the same grim condition, to keep friends with himself - here is a task for all that a man has of fortitude and delicacy." - Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894)
“I think we manifest the very thing we put out. If you’re putting out negativity, then you are going to retrieve the same sentiment. If you emanate joy, it comes back to you.” - Robin Wright
What are you emanating into the world? “The first phase of success is ‘Get-to-itiveness;’ the second part of success is ‘Stick-to-itiveness.’” - Orison Swett Marden
Can you “get” and “stick” to the things that will get you to your goals? “We live in the present, we dream of the future and we learn eternal truths from the past.” - Chiang Kia-shek
What truths have you learned from the past that will allow you to prosper in the future?
“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best.” - St. Jerome
What do you want to be better at so it will be something you are best at? “We don’t need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already; we have the power to imagine better.” - J. K. Rowling
