How often have you bypassed small obstacles when you were in a hurry to get a large problem solved? When was the last time you experienced a problem in your life that you told yourself you would deal with at a later time? How long did it take that "later time" to actually happen? If the obstacle or problem is of a type that continues to reappear, we're usually better off spending the time to deal with it when it arises. Welcome to another edition of Sustainable Excellence Xtras! These periodic videos will tie into the principles I have outlined in my book, Sustainable Excellence, Ten Principles To Leading Your Uncommon and Extraordinary Life. In this video, we hear the story of a farmer who broke numerous plowshares on a large rock because he never seemed to have time to remove the rock from his field. When he finally committed to dealing with what he thought was this large rock, it turned out the rock wasn't really that big and he could have easily dealt with removing it years ago.
