How often do you take actions where you intend to make a positive difference in the lives of other people? Most of us have heard about Fred Rogers, host of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood on PBS. When Mr. Rogers died in 2003, his family was going through his effects and found his wallet. Inside that wallet was a scrap piece of paper on which Mr. Rogers had written four simple words: Life - Is - For - Service. Is your life for the betterment of others, or is it for your gratification? Most people will spend their entire lives focused on themselves and will never take even one moment to contemplate what it means to be great! We all have unique gifts and talents. Think about this, in the history of mankind, you are so unique that there has never been a human being, nor will there ever be a human being like you. That is how special and amazing you are! Given your exceptionality, doesn't it make sense, over the course of your life, to spend your time emptying yourself out to the world with your special talents and treasures? But the interesting thing about offering our abilities and aptitudes to others is that we receive in return, the gifts and talents of others. In the relationships with your family, friends, and co-workers, spend your time benefiting and lifting others up and see the riches you will obtain as a result of your efforts. Please watch the video below to learn from the examples of companies who donated their resources for the betterment of their communities and the rewards they received in return. Also, leave me a comment about how you can use your unique gifts in service to others.
