What does the quote by Miyamoto Musashi, "Think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world," mean to you? Are you one of those people that think the world revolves around you? Do you judge your worth and value based on what others say about you on social media? Data suggests that since the invention of the "smartphone," mental health issues have significantly increased in children and young adults. Scientists have determined that the odds of you even being born were 1 in 1,000,000,000,000. That's one in a trillion! When you think about your existence in terms of the likelihood you were born, does it help to put your life in a different perspective? We are such a tiny part of the Earth, and the Earth is a tiny part of our Milky Way Galaxy, and the Milky Way Galaxy is a tiny part of the universe. Regardless of how important, influential, or successful you are while you are alive, eventually, you will be gone and nobody will remember you even existed. So why do you care what others think about you and why does their opinion prevent you from finding and living the purpose for which you were put on this earth to do? Check out the video below to learn more about the importance of remembering your own mortality and the insignificance you play in this world. Also, please leave me a comment about thinking of yourself lightly and the world deeply.
