It's been said that good things come in 3's. That's true with effective communication. According to Alan Alda (Captain "Hawkeye" Pierce on the M*A*S*H television show), he believes in The Three Rules of Three when talking with another person or presenting to a group. The Three Rules of Three are: 1. Communicate no more than three items or topics. 2. If a topic is difficult to understand, say it three different ways. 3.
