It's been said that good things come in 3's. That's true with effective communication. According to Alan Alda (Captain "Hawkeye" Pierce on the M*A*S*H television show), he believes in The Three Rules of Three when talking with another person or presenting to a group. The Three Rules of Three are: 1. Communicate no more than three items or topics. 2. If a topic is difficult to understand, say it three different ways. 3. If an idea is complicated, say it three different times throughout your talk. Check out the short video below to learn more about effectively communicating your ideas.
